Rag and Bone Puppet Theatre

Study guide
Comments

We need two tables.
One should be approximately 2 feet by 5 feet (about the size of a standard folding table). The other table can be smaller, about 2 1/2 feet by 2 1/2 feet (card table size). However, if no smaller tables are available, two large tables will do.

Times
Set up time—1 hour
Length of show—50 minutes
Question period—10 minutes
Take down time—45 minutes
We need free and clear use of the performance area for two hours and forty-five minutes. Please have the area cleared in advance of our arrival, and rearrange any classes or activities normally scheduled for that time.

Seating Arrangement
Our set will extend 20 feet across, and is 20 feet deep. We will help the teachers to seat their students. The students should sit cross-legged on the floor, in order of age. This is easiest to accomplish if the students arrive in order of age, youngest to eldest. The youngest group should arrive about 5 minutes prior to the performance time. Chairs can be set out along the sides so that teachers can sit beside their classes. You can see a PDF file of our seating plan for schools here, and our public show seating here.

School Bells
Please turn off all fans, air conditioners and school bells for the duration of the performance.
Access to Performance Area
We will need to back our van up to the door which gives the closest access to the performance area. Please arrange to have keys to all fences and doors which might impede that access, and to keep the parking space free for us.
